1. Scope & provider

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the AccessibleLab web service ("Service"), operated by AccessibleLab, Paul-Gerhardt-Str. 7, 74321 Bietigheim-Bissingen, DE ("we", "us", "AccessibleLab"). By registering for or using the Service, you ("Customer") agree to these Terms.

2. Service description

AccessibleLab provides a JavaScript accessibility widget that can be embedded into websites via a single script tag. The widget presents end-users with tools to adjust visual, motor, and cognitive accessibility settings on the host website. Features, plans, and pricing are described on https://accessiblelab.de/#pricing.

3. Account & registration

You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration data. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access at contact@accessiblelab.de.

4. Subscription & payment

Plans

• Single page — 1.99€/month (billed as one payment for the selected term)
• Site-wide — 4.99€/month (billed as one payment for the selected term)

Billing terms

Subscriptions are available in 6-month, 12-month, 2-year, and 4-year terms, billed upfront via Stripe Prices are in EUR and taxes included. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Renewal

Subscriptions do not auto-renew. You will receive a reminder email 14 days before expiry. To continue service, manually renew from your dashboard.

5. Cancellation & refunds

You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Your subscription remains active until the end of the paid period. We do not offer partial refunds for unused time. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion in cases of technical failure attributable to us.

6. License & permitted use

Subject to payment and compliance with these Terms, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to embed the AccessibleLab-widget on the domain(s) covered by your plan. The widget code, CDN assets, and dashboard remain the exclusive property of AccessibleLab.

7. Prohibited use

You may not:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the widget code
• Use the service on domains not covered by your plan
• Resell, sublicense, or white-label the service without written consent
• Use the service for illegal purposes or to facilitate harm
• Attempt to circumvent usage tracking or embed key validation

Violations may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Availability & SLA

We target 99.5% monthly uptime for the widget CDN. Planned maintenance is announced via the dashboard. The widget is designed to fail silently — if our CDN is unavailable, the host website continues to function normally without the widget.

We do not guarantee that use of AccessibleLab will result in full legal accessibility compliance. The widget is a tool, not a legal certification.

9. Liability limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AccessibleLab's liability for damages arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Berlin, Germany, provided you are a business customer (Unternehmer).

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
